Make an Appointment

You will need your passport, vaccination records and a french cheque or cash. We will create an NZER number for you, which you must communicate to INZ after your medical.

Information about New Zealand medical exams are located on the New Zealand Immigration Website.

Its important to know before you arrive if you need a General or Limited medical certifcate and what type of visa you are applying for.

To contact Immigration New Zealand please see the contact information located on the INZ Website.

What to Expect on the day

  • The entire process is managed online on Immigration's eMedical system.
  • There are 3 steps to complete for the Medical Visa process:
    1. Medical examination with the doctor (which may include a urine test at our office) also referred to as a 501.
    2. Chest X-ray at the Radiology Centre across the road (please contact them separately for an appointment) also referred to as a 502.
    3. Blood screening tests at the laboratory (which is not always mandatory for every patient and depends on the type of visa and age of the applicant).
  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are a large family, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to complete the necessary administrative forms
  • The order of the tests/exams is not important; you may go to the lab and/or X-ray centre before your appointment at our office if you prefer. We send the prescription for the laboratory tests directly to the lab in advance so you do not need to come to the office, you will need your NZER number for the radiology center. Which we will give you after your rdv.
  • You do not need to fast before laboratory tests.
  • Please make sure you have your original passport at your appointment.  (photos/photocopies are not accepted).
  • When you arrive there are some forms to fill out and to sign the declaration.
  • We will take your photo and upload it to the emedical system.
  • All results are inputted into emedical electronically there are no paper documents sent anywhere.
  • We will give you an information sheet with the eMedical reference number on it. If you are doing an upfront medical you will need to scan and upload this document to your visa application. Information on how to do this is below.
  • If you wish to have a copy of your results please ask the Xray Centre or the Laboratory when you are there.
